My first impressions; WeMedia Miami 2008
By: JonathanHendler
I’m in balmy Miami, where attendees convened for introductions, with a backdrop of a compelling photography exhibit and fresh veggie catering. The power outage today in south Florida created some chaos for locals, while fliers adjusted to the shock of sweating and being in the presence of green flora.
My impression: a melting pot of media and social entrepreneurship. The University atmosphere added positive and open energy. I met Brooks Lindsay, Sue Cross of the AP, and A. Michael Froomkin , Professor of Law of U Miami, and many others including THE Roblimo (Google it). I found it particularly interesting to discover where I shared experiences and language with attendees, as well as where I did not. Exciting to know in the next few days we’ll all have a broader awareness of our fields.
